Ms. M

About five months ago, I experienced unexplained pains in the pelvic region. Bladder infection-like symptoms ranging from pain at the bottom of the bladder, frequent urination and pain in the urethra and region around it. Even at rest, at times, these symptoms were present to a great extent. Been to the family doctor time after time. Urine clean so no real Bladder infection. Also received cream for vaginal fungus, as the symptoms were also present in that area, such as burning, but all in vain. After having visited the gynecologist and problems around the bladder and abdominal organs were excluded, I ended up at the Pelvic Pain Clinic in Enkhuizen. I contacted them by phone. I was called back by Fetske herself. I was very worried because no one knew what I had. She obviously gave me no guarantee before an examination had taken place but she recognized the problem as such which gave me considerable reassurance. I was scheduled for a diagnostic consultation. They don't give these away but that is understandable. I was all for it and the time, expertise and patience put in was worth it. Almost five hours all the time was spent on me by Fetske and a colleague. Then at Branca I received the treatments and I could not have wished for better. Friendly, patient, quite an expertise in the field and so reassuring. Fetske idemito. It's a great team and the place to come when the trail goes dead with specialists and regular pelvic floor therapists. The latter because I think they definitely stand out from regular pelvic physical therapy. They look beyond the pelvis and see the body as a cooperating whole. As a result, they are open to the fact that the problem is not always in the area where the pain manifests itself. Now after five months, I am doing extremely much better and have minimal pain. I continue to follow the plan and I continue to feel in good hands with them.
