Through a long road from referral to referral, I ended up at the Pelvic Pain Clinic in March 2024. I had complaints of pain throughout my body, but presumably from the pelvic area. Because of pain, I had little energy. The complaints were not recent, but had become "normal" over the years and I had, in my opinion, found my way with it. Until early 2022, when my energy level went down and I felt "not fit. During the year, this worsened and the pain also increased. This got worse when I got a viral infection in August. I had already linked several complaints myself, but in mainstream care I couldn't find anyone who was willing to go along with this and investigate. What a relief it was that Fetske was willing and able to do this! Fetske and Branca examined my whole body and listened extensively to my stories, experiences and thoughts about it. What an intensive day it was and I needed weeks to recover. But it was more than worth it. Because at the end of that day I had been confirmed in a lot, had learned a lot of new things about my body and Fetske and Branca were able to suggest a road to recovery. A long, intensive road, that was clearly and honestly named. Thanks to Fetske's extensive network, I can get started at a feasible distance from where I live. We are now more than six months down the road. And yes, the road is long and intense. And yes, the road of recovery goes with very small steps and sometimes some steps back. But looking back, I see recovery! Through updates that I or my therapists send, Fetske monitors the process remotely, with commitment and professionalism. I am extremely happy that I ended up at the Pelvic Pain Clinic. And I hope that these wonderful people may help many more others in recognition of symptoms and towards a path of recovery.
